Hey guys just got home from Macfaddens...didn't have a pen and paper but i figured i'd share the prices I remember... prices were up and down... MF 1085 w/ Cab + Air, low hrs., $8500... a little shocked at that... MF 175, real clean, looked like 2300 orig hrs, $4000, NH 311 baler w/ belt thrower, looked close to brand new - $5250 NH 256 rake - newer, not beautiful but very very good, w/ dolly wheel $1100 NH 256 rake - older but very functional w/ dolly wheel $650 JD 660(?) rake - $1000 Kuhn rotary rake - looked like 10-11 ft or so - $450 woodmizer bandsaw mill w/ trailer package brought around $5K that's all that is sticking out in my head... not a ton of people...but he was online w/ bidding too... usual assortment of characters and interesting equip, i left kinda early...stuff to do at home...so i missed the majority of tractors.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
