i pull a 2 bottom with my 2n.they should work pretty good in hard clay i would think.im in mostly sandy loam and it works very well there.have used it in old hard cleachy clay and it worked when a moldboard wouldnt even go in the ground.mounted ones are pretty heavy though,you have to have your lift in good shape.
