GREAT JOB, youre wife plays a meannnnnnnn fiddle Tom.
As an old retired fart who attends BOTH antique tractor shows AND bluegrass festivals alllllllll the time I can tell ya the two mix well. Old tractor folk and bluegrassers are for the most part traditional Christian Conservatives MY KINDA PEOPLE.
Okay, Ragtime Annie is a traditional fiddle tune and when its played if you notice EVERYONE is smiling and toe tapping, it brings joy to the heart. You can tell if a rookie is at a jam if he calls out Ragtime Annie in a Key other then D !! Ive heard it played in A (fiddldrs like D and A) but its usually in D, its just a D song they say around here at least.
Similar, though some play it in G, the guitar classic Wildwood Flower is just a C song in my opinion.
Next, heres a few other fiddle classics I bet she can play:
Old Joe Clark Soldiers Joy Cotton Eyed Joe Ashokan Farewell Angeline the Baker (aka Angelina baker) Turkey in the Straw
Finally, those Old Time Fiddler Conventions are a great place to hear junior fiddlers n pickers, below is a young fiddler Peyton Okelley and young flat guitar picker Danielle Yother, look for them all over You Tube GREAT
