Hate to bust your bubble, but I'm 15 and have a small herd of Deere, and a McCormick Deering 10-20. I am surrounded by AC and cabs, but I like the old tractors go figure.
I feel similarly about the older generation. Most of the older guys are nice, and a pleasure to talk to. I think its interesting to talk to the men who grew up running these tractors on a daily basis, and they enjoy my stories of using them too. However, I have run into a few who beleive that I have no business around tractors and I have to listen to them gripe about how good kids have it these days and what not.
I guess my point here is that you will find people of all ages who you wont agree with. I just try to get over it.
Further, I beleive the way to get young people interested is to make it available to them. Most show out my way are kind of secluded, hidden far away from any teenager frequented area. I would say that you guys should start at home. Try to get your son/daughter (especially the daughters...sorry  ) or grandson/granddaughter interested. If they enjoy it then they will tell their friends and maybe they too will become infested, I mean interested.
