Raccoons looking for a way into your house for the winter,cooler nights get them looking.They can pull a roof vent up enough to get in,they will go down a chimney,they will pull facia loose and climb in...you got to get rid of them or you will have a serious problem..baited traps or some fly bait and coke..check every morning whether you use bait or trap,get them off the roof right away. Raccoons always deflicate in the same area so if you see accumulated droppings you know. I had that happen once and the coons climbed up a grape vine..it isn't there anymore. remove anything that helps them get up on the roof.
