They should call this something other than the Tractor talk section.. Maybe something like "The feed sack" so others would not be so upset with all the off topic posts.
Heck I remember the old feed mill where people would come in just to chat and hash out tractor/machinery problems or fix a water pipe. grab a friend or two to go help with neutering a few pigs.. Always someone willing to give their time.
Also remember a little general store where the guys would get together near the old pot bellied stove and solve many other problems that had to deal with farming.
Tractors isn't the main ingredient to be a farmer. Some would have left the trade long ago if it wasn't for the fellowship to show that their burden is shared by many people striving and suffering through bad crop years, or loss of some animals, a family member.
The most important thing in farming is the family that puts all their faith in God to help him grow and prosper without questioning Him.
This along with a true friend relationship toward others (being helpful to the best of his ability) will get a lot further than guys like the few trolls we do have on here.
Even though a lot of these subjects do stray off tractors, they still get attention when a question arises OT subjects also get many good replies from Law to a water tank. If it weren't for the good folk right here many of my indirect non farm related questions would have went by the way side.
I do thank those folks that did help me when others thought I was in the "wrong room". I thank YT and Chris and Kim for being a bit gracious with letting us post semi off topic stuff on here.
