One night, a couple miles from home, a deer came out of a ditch and hit my car in the right front fender, spun and it's rump hit the rear passenger door. I turned around but the deer was gone. When I told my wife she didn't ask if I was ok, just 'did you get the deer'! I called the state police to report it and had a really hard time getting the officer to comprehend the deer hit me, not me hitting the deer. I had the same problem with the call to the insurance company, until the adjuster came out and saw the car.
A guy at work mother called him and said a deer ran over her car. He thought she had misstated until he saw her car. Hoof marks on the hood, roof, and trunk. The deer had indeed 'run over her car'.
My son called home and said he was bringing in a deer. When he hit the deer it went over his car and landed on the road. He was driving a Dodge Avenger which had a plastic front end. The only damage to his car was a very small dent on the hood. He threw it on the trunk lid and the air foil kept it from sliding off. While he called it in I started dressing it out.
On the serious side: Husband was driving, wife was in passenger seat. He hit a good size buck, it came through the windshield and landed on Corra. She died at the scene. I knew the couple.
A few weeks ago a guy from work was riding his motorcycle in to work. . He hit a deer just after dawn. His funeral was a week later
