You may need a Diode in the wire from the Alternator.. I do not have one on mine and if I do not have the engine at Low idle, it does not like to shut-down..I guess, back-feeding from the Alternator..?? Works Great, but will show a discharge at low Idle..Excites well at low RPM and tapers the voltage off real well.. This was a 3-wire Alt with an Internal reg. Just jumpered the #1 and #2 wire (plug location) and it works fine.. The Full sized Alt didn't fit and I used the smaller one..
