Mark.......I stumble on webmistress Kim's Yesterdays Tractors page in 1995 looking for info about my 52-8N rear axle seals. They were 2-part leather/rubber. Big Fred (Boeing Engr that still posts) suggested some bearing supply houses in south Seattle. The bearing houses were all amazed but could NOT find a replacement. I finally found 1-replacement 90-mi north in Mt Vernon and a 'nutter replacement 90-mi south in Chehalis. (think Mt. St. Helens Volcano)
I was amazed at the confusion that 12V conversions caused; 'course being a Boeing Flt Test Engr, that is what I did "Electronics". Surprizingly enuff, I still have NOT converted my eazy starting 6-volt 52-8N to 12-volts. Why? 'cuz I'm lazy........Dell, a 12V advocate for the right reasons. I know 8-ways to convert to 12V and they all work the first time.
