If it starts on starting fluid then your problem is most likely fuel related. I always like to check the spark first. It should be FAT AND BLUISH-WHITE, the color of lighning. If you have that and haven"t messed with the timing then I"d say make sure that you have inadequate fuel supply to the carb. If you have an adequate upply of fuel to the carb, recheck the main and dle mixture adjustments and if they are good, rap the carb with a piece of 2x4. Sometimes the floats hang and won"t drop. If that doesn"t work, pull the carb and check it out. Could be sediment in the float bowl not allowing the floats to drop or clogging the fuel passages.
