The belly pump hydraulic system is fairly bulletproof, with the tractor in neutral and clutch blocked you can spin the short shaft that drives the pump by hand and see if it feels like the gears in the pump are turning, or if the shaft has been removed you can spin the pump back and forth by hand and feel if it's driving. If you need a used pump they are cheap and simple but heavy to install. I've got one around here and I'm sure others nearer you will too. Zach
