"Two drivers may face criminal charges after a bout of road rage resulted in an accident at Woodward Avenue and Haynes around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
"According to police reports, both drivers a 55-year-old woman from Bloomfield Hills driving a Chevrolet Tahoe and a 59-year-old man from Royal Oak driving a motorcycle claimed the other cut them off while driving north on Woodward. Witnesses told police that both drivers began cutting in front of each other, then quickly slowly or stopping. Both drivers also took pictures of each other with their cellphones, police reports state.
"As the two passed Haynes Street, police reports state, the Tahoe stopped suddenly, and the man driving the motorcycle ran into the back of the sport utility vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken leg and several lacerations, and was transported to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
"Both drivers were cited for reckless driving and injury to a vehicle. The reports have been turned over to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review of criminal charges."
