Doggone it,no matter which way I go on this in the next hour,I'll regret it in the morning. Been dabbling around in an online auction all day. The stuff's only about 60 miles from home too. Been bidding off and on on an Oliver 550 with what appears to be an Oliver 1510 loader. 1974 model, looks like a front pump and power steering from the pictures. Only just over 2500 hours. Next bid is $3245. Blast it! I WANT a better loader tractor, but right now, today,I can't say that I NEED a better loader tractor. At least not bad enough to pull the trigger tonight. Wish I'd have discovered it before last night and had gone to look at it in person. Looks to me like the way the bidding is going right now, somebody has a max bid on it that's higher than it's going for right now because last time somebody bid,the exact same second this guy bid again. Didn't do bad when I bought that mixer wagon online sight unseen a few weeks ago,but after buying that manure spreader last week too,I'm getting a little hung over from spending money. Guess I'll be watching in the last few minutes of the auction tonight and see which one I'm going to be sorry for.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
