Some people use threaded rod to pull it into place, I find it is quicker to put a floor jack under the tractor, set the pump on the jack and raise it up. It is much easier with a helper, but I usually am on my own. Just make sure you keep it straight as you go up and make sure you take the cap off the filler neck(I forgot that once and it does not fit through the hole). Once the pump is in place and bolted it is pretty self evident how the drive shaft and pipe nipples fit on. I have my control arm set so it is pointing at maybe about 1 or 2 oclock, it has four possible positions in which it can be bolted down but that one seems to be handy. The control rod should have the stop resting on the operator side of the holder-upper when the control is in the middle neutral position. I hope that all makes sense. Zach
