the new 3010 was comeing out it was the futre i still had my 60 and a 18 foot straight disk was i suppose to stick with the smaller 60 and not get any work done hell no i went to town bought a new 3010 and got a 18 foot tandem disk we did what we had to do it was our job to feed america and our familes we worked hard with the old stuff but that new 3010 was much better
time moved on and equipment got better now today we have 30 foot disks and 8400s do you think we still could be out there on that 60 farming no of course not that old stuff cant keep up its like old cars and new cars so what so i have a new truck after farming all these years i think i deserve it i dont ask for much im not greedy i pay for what i got you must not like old equipment i know i do i love it but i couldnt stay with a straight disk while the other guys had 20 foot tandems and had cabs with air it wasnt possible yes we started projects to fix them just trying to get in the field but while we were pissing around with that old picker the guy in the next field had a 45 or a 55 combine doing the work so it was another trip to the dealer to purchase a 55 combine the pull behinds and pickers got old they were put in the trees it was the best place so scrapers didnt get them i have scraped one tractor because there was nothing left but today i got a bunch of machines hide in my trees seeking refuge from the scrapper and i give it to them its my way of paying back the machinerey for what it gave me and were it put me today
