Sounds like the truck is a keeper. I'd weigh the cost of that bearing against the hassle of taking that assembly out of there a second time, in the middle of a big snowstorm. Then I'd stop wasting my limited brain power, go buy the bearing, and put it in there this time while the truck is in the nice dry shop.
