There are 2 styles of V type snowblowers. The Arps style that usually has a round handle around the discharge shoot that rotates. This type can only be used with the tractor backing up. The Erskine / Allied style that usually has a flip type discharge. These have a frame with a pipe within a pipe mounting and can be reversed so you can use them backing up the tractor or use them as a pull behind blower with the tractor going forward. These have more value. With either style be sure the breaker bars on the input shaft are there to help break up the snow so it feeds into the blower.. I hope this helps you.
