A long time ago when I was a boy my Dad was combining with a gas Massey Harris combine (dont know the model) when it got stuck real bad. What can you do with a small boy and a grey diesel Ferguson, not much as we found out. Dad eventually came up with the idea of roping a very large timber bulk across the combine drive wheels, this had the effect of increasing out wheel grip as well as some diff lock. It was absolute torture on the clutch but the combine eventually managed to rise out of the ground and move forward a few feet, this was just enough to allow her onto more solid ground. Dangerous stuf but it worked. I know this is tiny stuff compared with what you guys do but none the less a big problem for dad 45 years ago. Bill
