Assure that when the impulse snaps, that the rotor is pointing close to a plug wire terminal, If not the rotor might be out of time. If good, take out #1 plug and crank it by hand till the compression is felt in the hole. Set the Mag timing adjustment so it is turned somewhat in the direction of rotation (retarded) Turn the engine so the timing mark (last on on the pulley TDC) is aligned. Turn the mag toward advance so that the impulse just clicks. Tighten it down right there. Now look at the rotor, it should be approaching #3 cylinders terminal in the firing order. Next is 4, then #2. Jim
