It seems to be year around open season in our area of the state. There's no Conservation Officer so the real "sportsmen" take a few any time of they need some extra cash (sell them to private "sportsmen" clubs). One of my sons was going to drive up from Texas to hunt but he can't get leave. He laughs at the scrawny critters they have down there. About 10 years ago he rummaged through one of the trash piles and pulled out an old metal porch chair (the springy kind), put it in an old wagon that was setting out in a water way, and make himself comfy. His head stuck out above the edge of the wagon. All he needed was a little heater. My other son seems to get deer with his car.
