I have an AR7 that came from my grandpa, and I think I would rather strap a slingshot in my canoe :( Inaccurate, unreliable, clumsy, and ugly as sin. In my humble opinion, the nicest, most collectable .22 made today would be the Marlin 39 lever action, been made darn near forever, pretty, well made, light, holds it`s value, much better craftsmanship than ANY henry product. Granted, it comes with a price tag to match.
If you want a survival gun, the Springfield M6 is a good bet, over-under .22 and .410 shotgun combo, more money but an excellent gun for what it is intended for (strapping in the canoe).

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
