I'm not sure what you mean by "collector makes". If something is collectible, presumably there's some likelihood that it will be worth more in the future than what you paid for it. (Never mind Beanie Babies.) So I assume you're talking about some sort of limited edition gun. Most of these sell new for a premium price that is much more than they can be resold for.
If you like the brass .30-30 from Henry Repeating Firearms, I suggest you check out one of the replica Henry or Winchester rifles made by Uberti. (They are sold under the Uberti, Stoeger and Cimarron brands.) I own a replica 1860 Henry in .45 Colt; it's a fun, reliable rifle. The Uberti replicas of the 1866, 1873 and 1876 Winchesters are very nice. In fact, the whole Uberti line is quite interesting for someone who would like to own an antique gun but can't afford the real thing or would like to be able to shoot it.
