well then, as someone said, a key must have sheared on one of the two gears or the engine rebuider didnt do it right.the book says both gears can be removed with a suitable pulled,and be reinstalled without heating the gears.when reinstalling the cam gear must be backed up with a heavy bar.
if the cam gear is tightened with a nut,after removal of the nut you should be able to tell if a key has sheared.
on the 239,it does not have to be timed,before removal
