I'm ready to get back to bow hunting. We don't have the antlerless only season down here in Jasper County. SWMBO absconded with my .308 BAR, I've been relegated to spotter status. She's been on the hunt for a big old buck that's gotten his rack knocked off. Judging from the size of the "stumps" he's sporting, the headgear was pretty sizeable before the fight. He's given her the slip 3 different times, starting with opening day when she watched him get up from his bed. I gotta give her credit, she's had several does and button bucks in easy range and always holds up, waiting for the old broken buck. This morning was cold and wet, nothing moving in the rain.
