Mr. Fields, I grew up in Charleston and still have family there. I now live in the upstate of SC. There's lots to do on the coast this time of year, my favorite was eating. The oysters and shrimp are at their best in the Fall. There's a small town North of Beaufort, Murrells Inlet, great restaurants there. Stay away from the tourist trap restaurants in Charleston. If you like fishing, this is a good time of year for wetting a line. The folks talk kinda funny down there, especially in the small towns like Yemassee. In Charleston the places to see are Ft. Sumter, which you can see from the Battery downtown in Charleston, the museum and the old slave market. Patriots Point is worth a visit too. Hope this helps Tim
