Can't say I have much first-hand experience with them. Prices seem very high though. I'm still using Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries in my Ryobi power tools and see them adverstising the Lithium Ion replacements for a LOT more money. If twice the price they ought to do at least twice the work - in my opinion.
The newest Lithium-Ion batteries have a very low self-discharge rate so for some people, they might be worth the extra cost. Self-discharge should not be an issue though in an RV or solar bank that gets constantly recharged.
Who knows what will come in the future? The BIG breakthrough in battery technology will be when someone creates a variable-capacity battery. That has been a HUGE issue many people have been working on.
