Been nursing one since last week in September and have my whole leg screwed up from favoring it. Went to the doctor today... Told him what I thought, he squeezed around to make sure I wasn't lieing, took an xray to verify (a blind man could see it).... And asked if I wanted it fixed or wanted treatment that insurance will pay for. Said I wanted it gone (my insurance will pay anyway). Treatment is like an air hammer that he ran all over the heel concentrating on where it hurt the most for about 16 hours (5 minutes or so)..... Kinda like beating your head against the wall.... Hurts like heck but feels darn good when you stop...... Said that the heel spur was an infected area and the hammering would cause blood flow which would flush the infection away. Prescribed antibiotics to take twice a day for 10 days to get rid of the infection done imprints of my feet for ordering insoles, and said I need two more hammerings a week apart and will have no more problems.... Feels better already.... Wife had a real bad case of tennis elbow that is completely gone after 3 of the same treatments.
