Several years ago I sold a 410 Massey combine to an Amish guy. He wanted the Perkins engine to run his stationary equip. He paid me to drive it down to his place. When I got there I had some extra time before my wife came to pick me up so I visited with him for about 20 min. I said it seams a shame to take the engine out of this combine and scrap the rest as it is such a nice machine. What would be so wrong with leaving the combine in tact and using it to harvest the crops? He answered there would be nothing wrong with it for him but it would not take long for the kids to realize the combine goes 15 mph down the road and the buggy goes 5 so they would start driving the combine to town and therein lies the problem.
