You are telling us that your engine won't even turn over, and that your lights work just as usual, am I right? What is the charge on your battery? If it is around 14v, remove the starter and take a set of jumper cables. Clamp one end of the black cable to the neg on the battery and clamp the other end to the flange of the starter. Clamp one end of the red(or which ever color the other cable is) to the pos on the battery. Take the remaining clamp, which will be the other end of the one clamped to the pos on the battery and quickly touch it to the pos terminal of the starter. The starter should quickly turn and the bendix should extend. Ensure that your battery is fully charged. If when you do this with a fully charged battery and the starter does not turn, the starter is the problem. If the start does turn freely, but does not when installed, your engine is offering to much resistance, but more likely the starter will not turn freely.
