: its all right but when they scrap good stuff thats different story Old Farmer, I don't disagree with you that it is a shame that so much of the old equipment is going to scrap and I for one would never scrap any of what I own ,but I sense that you and maybe others blame the scrapman, and I believe that if you do, then you are wrong. Don't blame the scrapman, if you feel you need to place blame then blame those that give or sell to the scrapman . And maybe we should blame ourselves for not trying to get ahead of the scrapman. Have you ever approached any of the owners of the equipment in question and explained your feelings about this ? Who knows maybe you could change their minds.
I responded to an earlier posting with my interpertation of the point a gentleman was making , that being simply that regardless of how badly it rubs you and others that the junkie cometh, to him his work has meaning . Its that simple.
