Dave, If I had to sign for it, they would leave a note and I'd have to go to their place after the truck has finished the route to pick up the item. Been there and done that. They are on a mission and have little time to get their job done as it is. I like the idea of leaving it on my front door. My door bell doesn't work, I'm never home, and if I'm in the basement or backside of the house, I'd wouldn't hear then knocking either. George
