yep,still have a scar from near my knee to near my ankle where they put stuff back together,and little feeling in top my left foot. Buddy and i were out rabbit hunting with our old ss 22's,i had a pocket full of various shells, shorts, long, and long rifles. Started raining and we came in. I wiped down outside of my rifle with a rag, worked the bolt, to make sure it was unloaded (didnt LOOK to see if it was unloaded) and pulled the trigger. Shot myself just below the left knee,and it came out just above my ankle.I found out, For some reason I never understood, that rifle wouldnt eject longs,would work perfectly with shorts or long rifles but not longs. I guess that was the first time i had ever loaded one in it.
