Im NOT a singer butttttttttt I do sing (and play) in good time Ive been told, I listen to that bass and rhythm guitar and let him roll through the breaks and give me turn arounds or lead ins and come in at JUST THE RIGHT TIME. I used to think its hard to play with someone who cant play in time butttttttttt I found it even worse and harder to accompany someone WHO CANT SING IN TIME GRRRRRRRRRRRR songs have natural rhythms and breaks and pauses the singer is supposed to take while the rhythm section rolls through and comes in. HOWEVER its the bands job to back up the singer so we have to get to or go wheres hes at REGARDLESS
Heres a few of the songs I butcher up
Uncloudy Day Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Wreck of the Old 97 Katie Daley Dooley Glory Glory Glory (Somebody touched me) Long Black Veil Carrol County Accident Old Rocking Chair Lifes Highway to heaven (life is like a Mtn railroad) I saw the Light I'll Fly Away Do Lord Oh Do Lord
A few of the ones I try to pick on the 5 string
Cripple Creek (first song you learn on a banjo) Banjo in the Hollow Foggy Mtn Breakdown Old Home Place Will the Circle be Unbroken Old Spinning Wheel My Grandfathers Clock Dear Old Dixie
