I'd like to add a thought to the issue of double/triple the regular prices. I nonetheless had (past tense, they are all gone now) about 72 bales after cutting this July. I always have my (local) regulars and most of them I like a lot/we help each other out/ etc. and therefore give them a break. I always load for free if needed, anyone's hay. I got a call from someone that was referred to me by a mutual acquaintance and he wanted to buy 20 bales after I quoted him what I thought was a fair price (50). I only had 10 bales left unspoken for and he got them. 3 weeks thereafter, another acquaintance bought hay for almost double (plus 40)from said guy that looked like "mine" (twine and pattern). Granted, I had raised the price 10 myself in those 3 weeks, but why would I not want to be near the price that is current local rate? Maybe a few $ cheaper, but I certainly don't want to enable and create "middlemen". I think it is somewhat a dilemma for some like myself, while others just view it as a capitalistic opportunity driven by the market, supply and demand. Don't have the answer, folks. Ralph.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
