Before meeting my wife, while I was in the Navy, if the ship was anchored of the beach the place where the duty section would muster in the afternoon was the big eyes(ships large binoculars next to the bridge). It was very common for most of the beach goers to elect no top on the French and Spanish beaches. To be honest Italian women aren't much to look at anyway. French and Spainish girls were much prettier. When I my ship ported in Sixfors in France, I had a girl take a shine to me. She was quite a looker, also. When the ship left port, she followed it to our next port in Toulunie. When I arrived I felt mighty special that she had driving what had been a two day trip by ship, and she met me with food.
