Geez, don't you young fellers recognize a set of Goodyear's All Weather Ground Grip tractor tires when you see 'em. One of the first tractors I remember ever being around was a 1935 Allis-Chalmers model E with tires like that that my Dad used to run for a neighbor. I remember when plowing sod and hitting a big cow patty the land wheel would slip about a half a turn and that old pinion/bull gear rear end on old Allis would growl pretty loud. My uncle Howard Kesselring's Allis UC had those type of tires on it too when he got it. They also made a tread that was all diamonds, no bar lugs at all. I don't think any of 'em had lugs over an inch high when new, neither did the Firestones with the closed center bar lugs.
