Let's see, if the ban cell phones then they also need to banpassangers you can turn your head to look at and talk to, CB radios, eating in a vehicle, smoking in a vehicle, listening to a radio in a vehicle, and especially all of the new computers that are coming out and require a 'human interface' to work...including the ones in all of the cop cars. Basically doing anything in a vehicle that requires you to take your attention off of the road needs to be banned. Then they need to install a srap on the top of the seat to tie your head off to and make you wear blinders to insure you never look anywhere but forward since any amount if inattention at all can be deadly to you or others.................
Granted there are people that can't walk and chew gum at the same time, and I've known a few myself, but like everything else in this coutry done to "protect people from themselves" this whole idea is going over the line in my opinion. To outright ban one thing because of a few stupid people and not ban the numerous other things that can cause just as much or more distraction to a person as the one thing being banned is simply stupid.........But of course everyone out there wants to undergo the firm hand of Uncle Sam now telling you more things you can and can't do, on top of the restrictions we already have to deal with and fuss about, simply because of a few stupid people....... Like the comedian Ron White is so fond of saying, 'You can't fix stupid'... but our government seems dead set on spending more taxpayer money to enforce new rules in an effort to do just that...
