Wondered about the HP on that tractor. Dad still tells stories about running a JD 4630 Quad Range that was turned up over 200 HP pulling 6-16's in C2 all day long. I kinda figured if you were pulling a 6-18 plow it had been turned up a bit, sounds like it is near the max if it maxed a 230 HP dyno.
Can't tell for sure by the pics, but it looks like this tractor is a Quad Range? I can only see one shift lever in the pics, but it looks like the Range selector. Good looking tractor, I spent plenty of time growing up in 4630's.
