My ground's pretty level, so I don't have much trouble with uneven stretching. Your idea of two come-alongs will take care of it.
I pull just past the corner post, nail to the post to maintain the stretch, then go on down the next stretch. Really no need to cut at each corner- I just splice when I run out of roll (which is much too often, given the price of the stuff).
