Loudest I've heard is probably a toss between a Ford 4000 and a Ford 3930, both of which I own. I'd wager the loudest ever built was the Bud 16V747 if we're talking about tractors equipped with mufflers. By virtue of having 16 holes of pure screaming Detroit... it would have to be loudest. I witnessed a 16V71 on a genset many years ago and it was the first time I ever had to walk away from something because my ears hurt... and a '92' would be worse.
