I had a bad knee and hobbled into the Dr.'s office on crutches. I exited waving my crutches. He gave me a shot of some concoction of his and it replaces the fluid in the joint where the gristle has worn away. Supposed to last for awhile. Mine has lasted 5 years and still going.
He did one of my hands also. Couldn't close my fist any tighter than to grasp a lemon and lots of pain. He shot one hand that did it first and it immediately healed and then the other did it.
But by then he quit hands and just did joints, kept plenty busy, so I did what I usually do and got out my alternative medicine catalogs and looked up Glucosamine Complex & Chondroitin Sulfate...you see a lot of MSN in the store but this is better...has the Chondoritin.
Took them twice a day at twice the suggested dose and in about a month the second hand was functioning normally. Since, if either acts up, I just get out the GCC and dose up for a few days and when it goes back to working I quit.
HTH. One doesn't have to live with joint pain. The Dr. was a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. The pills were from a respected internet alternative medicine pill house.
