My computer was (is) doing the same thing. Shortly after start-up, it just freezes; can't click anything, can't shut it down, nothing. Shut down by the button, wait 30 sec, restart & go through all the warnings about improper shut down & it is good for a minute or two - then dead again. After 2 or 3 episodes, it is fine. If I don't shut down but just put in on sleep mode, everything is fine tommorrow. Only problem, it shuts itself off in the 22 hours while I have it sleeping. I have to remember to go online once during the day. i.e. twice in a 24 hr period.
