#2 depends where you are going on your general running around jaunt. Since it might be to the ag or building materials store you might need a crossover and a p/u and only select the one that applies before you leave, or just tow one behind the other so that when you get to town if you forget something, you have the vehicle to support what you need....or god forbid a sedan, buick possibly....ever have to go to an orthopedic surgeon because you are 6'5, over 200# and to get into your sedan your ex-sedan, you had to half stoop on your left leg, turn your body on the ball of your foot, duck and hope to make it in without banging your head.
#3 Rare few? come to Texas sucker and just get a drift of who/whom is the monitory....it surely isn't the p/u. Besides, in traffic on the interstate and all, if you are in a truck you can see over the lowly sedans in front of you, far enough ahead to avert a problem that the sedan driver can't see till he is part of a 30 car pile up.
#4 My 2011 4 door 1500 is GVWR at 6800#. I can put a 2000# skid of fertilizer in the back and come home without a problem.
If I get my 16' 3500#/axle tandem utility trailer out then I can bring home 2ea 2000# skids of fertilizer....but I only need and use one.....so what did that inconvenience buy me?
#5 I have a new tractor with cab/air 4wd and loader and am fully capable of pulling up to my truck and lifting my 2000# skid of fertilizer right off it in about a minute or two....load and go/unload and go.......
