By the Grace of God I've never hit a deer or has a deer hit me...really haven't even had a close miss. Knock on wood, that's for sure. My poor step son had one hit the side of my nearly new pickup back in 1981, He stopped to let a pack of them cross the road in front of him and one of the stupid things dived right into the side of the truck hitting it behind the passenger side door to the tune of 1150.00 worth if damage. I simply hate the deer though, knowing all the damage they can and do do. A good friend's wife was nearly killed when one landed on the hood of their Subaru Brat and came right back through the cab. She was a pretty lady before this happened and it ruined her face, she suffered a lot. I think it will be a better world here if all deer are killed in this area...whatever it takes to do it. I remember when there were none here...it was just fine, if you wanted to hunt them you went "up north"...that was fine too.
