I've heard all these things about you gotta dip the trap in magic solution, wear surgical gloves so you don't get your scent on the trap, etc., etc. I was rehabbing a foreclosure house, and we hired "The Mole Man" to get rid of the moles. He came over, had a bag of scissor traps with dirt all over them, took them out with bare hands and made the hole to set them, mounded dirt and pressed it down (again, with bare hands), and proceeded to catch every mole in the place. I asked him about all the stuff I'd heard- he laughed and said, "These little guys aren't rocket scientists- that's all a bunch of foolishness, to sell Magic Juice and to make you buy their traps. Just old fashioned traps, set right, will catch them."
