Hi mike. I'll do my best to answer your questions. The only concrete in the shed is this pad we had poured to put the waterer on. We graded the site off and after this picture was taken we put down a layer of ag lime and then corn stalks. Concrete would be best but it is expensive. The shed is split in two halves now so the waterer is right in the fence line.
If you can tell in these pics the shed has wood on the lower 4 feet. We have a couple other sheds like this. After these pics were taken we hung gates so the cattle cant get to the doors to damage them. We plan to open the gates and doors when it comes time to clean out. As far as the post in the manure, well, we have a shed that is about 30 years old that has a couple that are bad right now and some have allready been replaced. They rot off but not quickly.
