Sorry Rrlund, but I don't quite follow you. A tax cut that leaves an extra $5.00 in your paycheck is just as good as a raise that leaves you with an extra $5.00. Trying to compare $5.00 a week tax cut to a $5.00 an hour raise is nonsense. And the job losses make a much larger ripple in your local economy than pay concessions would have. You took a total loss and you're trying to say a partial loss would have been just as bad. It makes no sense. Whats more, tax cuts applied across the broad spectrum leave more money in the workers hands and more money in the companies hands and that keeps them from letting people go.
