I do the photography for several tractor clubs; also a couple local marching bands and a friend's large Christmas tree farm. I then do photo shows for club meetings, staff appreciation dinners, Christmas parties, etc. using just my laptop computer.
Simply group all the photos you wish to display into a folder. Now browse to the folder, right click on the first image, select "open with", then "Windows Live Photo Gallery". Finally click on the "slide show" button.
The software creates a professional-looking, full screen, continuously running show of all photos in the folder. (I'm assuming you have PC. I'm sure a Mac has similar software.)
To make the show more impressive, if one of your club members is a teacher ask them to borrow a digital projector from school for the evening. Plug the projector into your computer, aim it at a blank wall (or white table cloth hung on the wall). Now hit the "slide show" button and you're good to go.
I can guarantee your club members will be impressed!
