I know here in Michigan there"s a list on the internet. They publish it in the paper once a year as well. I knew my name had been on the list in the paper for several years but never did anything about it. I looked it up online about two years ago. Seems like there was a form that I had to print out. I know I had to take it to the bank and have it notorized. It told on the site who it was that the money was from, but it didn"t tell how much,so I didn"t know if it was even worth the bother. The money was from an insurance company that we had had our health insurance through for a few years. I sent it in for the heck of it. Got over $300 back,so yes,it"s for real. If I was you,I"d just do a Google search for something like "Texas unclaimed refunds" or some such thing.
