The lake effect snow here in Michigan come mostly from the west and northwest. But the real missery comes from the east and northeast when we get a low pressure system spinning from the backside. In the summer,Lake Michigan has the opposite effect. Storms over Minnesota and Wisconsin tend to fall apart when they come over the cooler water. Our big summer storms come up from the south and southwest all the way from the gulf.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
